Kajian ini terdiri dari empat bagian.

Bagian pertama membahas keadaan hokum laut internasional sebelum tahun 1930, di sini akan diuraikan konsepsi-konsepsi yang berkenaan dengan hokum laut, batas lebar laut yang dapat dijadikan sebagai bagian dari wilayah Negara dan upaya-upaya untuk memperluas lebar laut wilayah dan penetapan lebar laut wilayah yang seragam.

Bagian kedua menguraikan keadaan hokum laut international antara tahun 1930 dan 1958. Di dalam bagian akan dibahas kelanjutan dari upaya-upaya perluasan dan penyeragaman laut wilayah, timbulnya rezim-rezim hokum baru seperti landas kontinen, dan konsep Negara kepulauan (archipelago states). Rezim-rezim hokum baru tersebut bersama-sama dengan tuntutan perluasan laut wilyah diupayakan untuk dapat diterima dalam bentuk hokum perjanjian internasional. Dan, ini diperjuangkan sejak Konferensi Hukum Laut I Jenewa 1958 dan II tahun 1960.

Bagian ketiga menguraikan tentang keadaan hokum laut internasional setelah tahun 1960 sampai dengan tahun 1982, yaitu tahun ditandatanganinya Konvensi hokum Ketiga (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) 1982. Pada bagian ini dibahas tentang pembagian kawasan laut, serta perkembangan lebih lanjut dari konsep-konsep hokum laut serta timbulnya rejim-rejim hokum baru yang mencakup konsep dasar laut dalam (deep sebed area) sebagai warisan bersama umat manusia (common heritageof mankind) sebagai zona eksklusif.

Jimmy Angel and his three companions managed to descend from Tepuy and return to the civilization walking through the jungle for 11 days. Angel's plane is currently in the Aviation Museum in Maracay, and nowadays on top of the Auyantepuy you will find a replica of Jimmys airplane.

Canaima National Park is located in the south west of Venezuela, south of the Orinoco River in the municipality Gran Sabana of Bolivar State, was declared a national park on 12 June 1962 by the National Executive, in order to protect its attractions and conserve virgin for the rest of the world.

The park has 3 million hectares, making it the second largest protected area Venezuuela and sixth in the world. The real highest waterfall in the world is not permanent and is next to the Angel Falls it is called: La Catira..

The park is divided into two parts: West and East.

The western part is simply called Canaima and it can be reached by flights from Caracas, Margarita, Puerto Ordaz, Ciudad Bolivar and Santa Elena.
